Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our portable UV sterilizer for your baby's safety and peace of mind
🛡️ Product & Safety
How does the UV sterilizer work?
Our portable UV sterilizer uses UV-C light technology to eliminate up to 99.9% of germs, bacteria, and viruses from baby items. The UV-C light disrupts the DNA of microorganisms, preventing them from reproducing and causing harm. The sterilization cycle typically takes 3-5 minutes.
Is UV sterilization safe for my baby's items?
Yes, UV-C sterilization is completely safe for baby items when used correctly. It's a chemical-free method that doesn't leave any residue. However, always ensure items are thoroughly washed with soap and water before sterilization, as UV light works best on clean surfaces.
What items can I sterilize?
You can sterilize bottles, pacifiers, nipples, teethers, small toys, phone cases, keys, and other small items that fit inside the sterilizer. The device is perfect for items that come into contact with your baby's mouth or hands.
Do I still need to wash items before sterilizing?
Yes, absolutely. UV sterilization is a supplementary hygiene step, not a replacement for washing. Always wash items thoroughly with hot water and soap to remove visible dirt, milk residue, or food particles before placing them in the sterilizer.
Can UV light damage bottles or pacifiers?
No, UV-C light does not damage most baby-safe materials including silicone, plastic (BPA-free), and glass. However, prolonged or excessive exposure may cause some plastics to yellow over time. Follow the recommended usage guidelines in the manual.
⚙️ Usage & Maintenance
How often should I use the sterilizer?
For newborns (0-3 months), we recommend sterilizing bottles and pacifiers after each use. For older babies, once daily or after illness is typically sufficient. Always follow your pediatrician's recommendations based on your baby's health and immune system.
How do I clean the sterilizer itself?
Wipe the interior with a soft, damp cloth regularly. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. The UV bulb should be cleaned gently with a microfiber cloth to maintain optimal performance. Never submerge the device in water.
How long does the UV bulb last?
The UV-C bulb typically lasts for 8,000-10,000 hours of use, which equals several years of regular daily use. The device will indicate when the bulb needs replacement according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Is it portable? Can I travel with it?
Yes! Our UV sterilizer is designed to be compact and portable. It's perfect for travel, daycare, grandparents' homes, or anywhere you need on-the-go sterilization. It's lightweight and fits easily in a diaper bag.
Does it require batteries or a power outlet?
The sterilizer comes with a rechargeable battery and USB charging cable, making it convenient for travel and use anywhere. A full charge provides multiple sterilization cycles.

💚 Health & Hygiene
Does this replace boiling or steam sterilization?
UV sterilization is an effective alternative to traditional methods and offers the convenience of portability and speed. However, some pediatricians may recommend specific sterilization methods based on your baby's needs. Consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
Can it kill COVID-19 and other viruses?
UV-C light has been shown to be effective against many viruses and bacteria, including coronaviruses, when used properly. However, we cannot make specific medical claims. UV sterilization should be part of a comprehensive hygiene routine that includes proper handwashing and cleaning.
Is it safe to look at the UV light?
No, never look directly at UV-C light as it can damage your eyes. Our sterilizer has built-in safety features that automatically turn off the UV light when the lid is opened. Always supervise use and keep the device away from children.
